Formalities, Families, Fangs and Friends

We woke up to another very cold morning here in Calgary and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at our B&B.  Merrell and Diane, our hosts, do a wonderful job of cooking the most delightful breakfast each morning – we don’t have lunch!!

After getting rugged up we headed downtown (Calgary) to pick up The Princess’s new passport.  Her old one was getting a little full and we didn’t want to risk traveling around the world and not being allowed into a country because her passport was full.  All good to go now.

From downtown we headed for Jill’s house (Princess’s mum) to pick her up.  We took Jill out for lunch to a little town south of Calgary.  The town is called Okotoks.  We enjoyed a very nice lunch (early dinner) in a lovely little restaurant that served boutique teas from around the world.  Very nice.

After a short trip around Okotoks (particularly the Air Ranch.  Mmmmm……. thoughts of a plane in the hangar outside the house!!) we dropped Jill back home and went to visit a dentist friend – Roma.

Roma took a quick look at The Princess’s mouth (she had a toothache) before sharing a hour with us in her tea room.  Roma is a delightful person and we are very lucky to be able to call her a friend.

From Roma’s surgery we visited some more friends – Steve and Lynette at their house.  Steve and Lynette have joined the Agel business with us and it is always great to catch up with them when we are in Calgary. Lynette will be joining us in Austin this weekend for the Agel conference – another special Agel event (Go Diamond).

We left Steve and Lynette’s quite late and, because we had not eaten anything for over 10 hours, we dropped in to a late night restaurant and had a lovely freshly made pizza.

Into bed late after driving home in -21 degree temperatures.  Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
