Frozen River, Moving Furniture In The Snow and Card Sharked

I arrived in a very cold and snow covered Calgary on Saturday afternoon.  My very happy Princess was waiting for me to walk into her arms.  It is so nice to be back together again.

The Friday night before my arrival saw the arrival of a huge dump of snow here in Calgary and the place was covered.  I had not seen Calgary like this previously so it was a very special treat for me.
We checked into our beautiful bed and breakfast in Calgary before heading out for a lovely Indian dinner with some friends.  The temperature fell to -21 degrees during the evening so we needed to rug up with our coats.  Brrrrrrr……. what happened to summers in Australia on the beach??

We didn’t have much of a sleep-in on Sunday because we had to be out at a friend’s house to move our furniture.  Jeff and Wanita have been looking after some of our furniture for a couple of years however, they have just built a new house so we had to move our furniture into storage.  You can imagine doing a move in freezing cold (-18 degrees) conditions!!

In the afternoon we caught up with Sandra’s Nana (I won the Gin Rummy card games we played!!) before heading out for a family dinner at a lovely restaurant in the city.  Fortunately it was an early dinner so we were able to get to bed at a reasonable hour.  Snug as bugs in rugs given the freezing conditions outside!!
